Hotel Le Vista Chamonix
We stayed Hotel Le Chamonix for 2 nights at the beginning of a hiking trip along the Haute Route (Chamonix to Zermatt). The location can't be beat—in the middle of town.
Hotel Le Vista Chamonix Inn
Nice cafe on the bottom floor front side of the hotel. Room was cozy with a fabulous view of the mountains an glaciers. The UTMB's (the biggest trail running race in the world) finish line was right outside the front door which made for a very festive if a bit noisy location. The staff was helpful and easy going. They kept our luggage for a few days until a luggage transfer picked the bags up and shuttled them to Zermatt. This hotel has a great location though the parking Can get a little tricky.Theres a fine “mountain climbing “ breakfast to get you a good start in the morning.
Chamonix Hotels
There are lots of small mountain climbing routes if you think Mont Blanc is too challenging. There are also lots of good restaurants but if you’re looking for classic authentic French cuisine I would suggest Caphorn as it’s in my opinion the greatest restaurant thus its location, view and food. If however your looking for a family style restaurant there are a few near Chamonix Le Praz.
